[802.3_400G] Jan 2014 Interim Update

All,

At  the close of yesterday’s Jan 2014 Interim meeting, the IEEE 802.3 400 Gb/s Ethernet Study Group adopted its PAR and CSD (which includes the 5C).  The adoption of these documents and our objectives allows us to move forward and begin the approval process to become an official task force.  We will be requesting approval at the March Plenary.  If all goes well, with approval at the IEEE-SA Standards Board Meeting, the project would be authorized on March 27, 2014.

 

I have updated the Study Group front page (http://www.ieee802.org/3/400GSG/index.html) with the updated project documents.

 

I will be working on updating the January webpage, including minutes, and will send out the notification when all is ready.
