I have not received any presentation requests at this time, so I am going to cancel the use case ad-hoc conference call tomorrow (Aug 21).

This is an announcement for an IEEE P802.3bs 400Gb/s Ethernet Task Force Configurations and Use Cases Ad Hoc Conference Call.
The call will take place on Thursday August 21st from 7:30am-9:00am PDT. Apologies for the early start but this is 10:30pm to midnight in China.
If you are interested in presenting, please request a timeslot by Tuesday August 19th.
The FEC architecture is a critical aspect of the 400GbE project, and there was a lot of discussion on this topic at the pervious task force meeting in San Diego.
I would like to focus this call on gaining a better understanding of how the different FEC architectures (end-to-end, embedded, segmented) impact the various use cases, and how these use cases could/would subsequently evolve.
Please take a moment to review the IEEE patent policy, which may be found at
http://www.ieee802.org/3/patent.html, which will be part of the meeting agenda.
Webex details will follow in a separate email.
Regards
Gary
