All, My apologies, as I mixed up two communications we need to address. We have two other communications besides the OIF communication that was previously announced. 1. COBO – as noted, below, we have received this communication, and it can be handled via an informal communication. I will provide the proposed response. 2. ITU-T – it has been brought to my attention that this is an appropriate meeting to send a copy of the draft to the ITU-T. As the ITU-T is a government body, this needs to be addressed via a liaison from the 802.3 WG, and requires their approval. I have delegated writing a proposed liaison to Mr. Trowbridge, who has graciously agreed to write it. This will be approved via the 802.3 WG meeting Thursday night. Regards, John From: John D'Ambrosia [mailto:jdambrosia@xxxxxxxxx] All, A communication from the Consortium for On-Board Optics has been received. It provides a status update and requests our recent 802.3bs Draft. As the ITU-T is a government organization, the response needs to be done via a liaison from the 802.3 WG. Mr. Law, our 802.3 WG Chair has assigned it to 802.3bs to generate a proposed response for the WG to consider on Thursday. The link to the liaison is on the 802.3bs January Interim webpage. The link is - http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/jan16/incoming/COBO_to_IEEE_802d3_Jan_2016.pdf. I will generate a proposed response for the group to consider as part of its Closing Business on Wednesday. Regards, John D’Ambrosia Chair, IEEE P802.3bs 400GbE Task Force |
