Hello, I have one suggestion, please, let me know, if interresting.

On the physical layer, if we use higher frequency modulation, more symbols will be transmitted during one time period. Hihger probability of errors will be encounterred. Using fec we can perhaps correct the errors and get some speed gain as the result.
