I made some research, and I found out, that it is possible not only to prevent and correct errors, happening on the channel, by fec, but we can also increase the speed of the line. The key is, that first of all, we make the channel capacity measurement, that gives us the number of errorless transmittable bits by modulation used. If we increase the number of modulation prototypes, more bits will be transmitted through the channel in the same period of time, but more errors encounterred, so here is the field for fec application. As the result, higher transmission speed will be gained. Best regards, Ing. Tomas Pajda. Odoslané z aplikácie Outlook Pošta pre telefón s Windows 10
Dear Task Force Participants, Today’s Task Force meeting was successful, as all comments received against Draft 1.4 were considered and resolved. Furthermore, the Task Force voted to pre-submit the “to-be-generated from this meeting” Draft 1.5 to IEEE 802.3 for consideration for advancement to WG Ballot at the July Plenary. The June webpage has been updated with all meeting materials, including the unapproved minutes. Please see http://www.ieee802.org/3/bs/public/16_06/index.shtml The final responses to proposed comments have also been uploaded – By Clause - http://www.ieee802.org/3/bs/comments/P802d3bs_D1p4_comments_final_Cl.pdf By ID - http://www.ieee802.org/3/bs/comments/P802d3bs_D1p4_comments_final_ID.pdf I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work of the Task Force in getting to this stage. There has been a significant amount of work done from the consensus building on deciding our baselines to the generation of the technical complete document achieved at this meeting. I would also like to thank Pete, Mark, Andre, Peter, Jonathan, and Steve for all of their efforts in getting us to this point. I look forward to seeing all of you in San Diego in July to take the next step. Until then enjoy your summer! John D’Ambrosia Chair, IEEE P802.3bs 200GbE and 400GbE Task Force |
