I’ve made a calendar error in the message below.  The meeting days  are Tues/Wed July 13-14th  not Wed/Thurs as indicated below.

Thanks....Mark

Dear 802.3bg Members,

The 802.3bg Task Force will be meeting for two full days Wednesday July 13th-Thursday July 14th, 2010 during the July IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting being held in San Diego, Ca.

Detailed meeting information may be found at http://www.ieee802.org/meeting/index.html

The Task Force review of D1.0 is on-going.    The draft is available in the private area and reviewers are asked to
send your comments to Mark Nowell <mnowell@xxxxxxxx> and Pete Anslow <panslow@xxxxxxxxx>  and paste into the subject line:   IEEE P802.3bg/D1.0 comments

The meeting will focus on the Task force review of the received comments and the review of any technical presentations and proposals.

Per the motions in the May meeting, I will be asking the WG chair to pre-circulate the D1.0 to the WG ahead of the meeting in preparation for our Task Force request to move to Working group ballot.  The request, which will happen at Thursday’s closing plenary, will require a review of every changes on the pre-circulated D1.0.  It is therefore requested that the reviewers focus their efforts on the substantive and technical aspects of the draft rather than the editorial aspects which can be addressed and captured during the subsequent WG ballot.  Given the mature baseline text leveraged from the 802.3ba project and similarities in the structure, it is expected that those editorial comments should be few anyway.

Please be aware that the motion to move the 802.3bg draft to WG ballot will take place at the WG closing plenary on Thursday afternoon (late on the agenda) and to make your travel plans accordingly.

A separate Call for Presentations will be sent shortly.

Safe travels and I look forward to seeing everyone in San Diego.

Best Regards,

Mark Nowell
