Title: 802.3bg Plenary meeting info and website update
Dear Task-Force members,
The 802.3bg website has been uploaded with the material for next week’s Plenary meeting.
http://www.ieee802.org/3/bg/public/nov10/index.html
As reported by Mr Law, the D2.1 ballot passed with the following statistics:
144 Voters
79 Approve
4 Disapprove
3 Abstain
86 Ballots returned
59.7% Response Rate (>= 50% required)
3.5% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
95.2% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
Since the close of the ballot two of the Disapprove votes have changed to Approve after consideration of their comment responses. Only 2 comments were received against the D2.1 recirculation. The comments and the proposed responses are available on the website above.
This strong ballot response is a credit to the excellent work the Task Force has put into the drafts and comment resolution!!
The work of the Task Force next week will be focused on closing out the comments on D2.1 and generating D3.0 ahead of requesting to move to Sponsor ballot at Thursday’s closing plenary.
It is expected that the Task Force will be able to complete it’s work on Tuesday. The meeting will start @ 9am
Safe travels to everyone and I’ll see you in Dallas!
Regards
Mark Nowell
Chair, IEEE P802.3bg Task Force
