REVIEW SCOPE: The scope of the review is the entire IEEE P802.3bt D1.7 Draft with the following caveat: comments will only be accepted if they pertain to achieving the stated objectives, linked above. There have been specification deficiencies identified in the Task Force process. Since we are editing an existing clause, these items will have to be submitted as maintenance requests before they can be passed to the Task Force for review. NO SECTIONS OF THE DOCUMENT THAT PERTAIN TO THE NEW STANDARD HAVE BEEN CLOSED OFF FOR COMMENTING.
REVIEW OPEN: Tuesday, 29 March 2016 REVIEW CLOSE: Sunday, 1 May 2016, 11:59pm AOE. Late comments cannot be accepted.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO ACCESS THE DRAFT The draft is posted for Task Force review purposes only, and neither the draft nor access information should be copied or redistributed to others in violation of document copyrights.

_______________________________________ HOW TO SUBMIT COMMENTS
Acceptable comment types:
E = Editorial ER = Editorial Required (an Editorial comment that the commenter feels very strongly about) T = Technical TR = Technical Required (a Technical comment that the commenter feels very strongly about)
For further information regarding comments, please see http://www.ieee802.org/3/bt/public/nov14/diab_01_0512.pdf
Also, see ‘Chad’s rules for making comments’: http://www.ieee802.org/3/bt/public/nov14/Rules%20for%20making%20comments.txt
Step 1. Prepare your comments in one of the following THREE ways:
a. You are STRONGLY REQUESTED to use the comment tool in the TF private area at the URL:
URL: http://ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/filemaker/index.html
To use the tool, extract all components into a folder and do not move any component from that folder, as this will cause the executable to not work correctly. The tool is:
Comment_Tool_Generic_Solution.exe
The comment tool runs under Microsoft Windows. It has also been run in VM environments on other platforms.
b. Manual entry tool: A comment entry SPREADSHEET has been created for those non-Windows users (though it is also Windows friendly!). This tool is posted in the IEEE P802.3bt private area, bunched with D1.1. It can be found here: http://www.ieee802.org/3/bt/private/802d3_TFR_WGB_comments.xls You are STRONGLY REQUESTED to use the spreadsheet if you are not using the comment tool.
c. To submit comments in text (ASCII) form, please use the form below. This will make it possible for the editor to properly record and track all submissions. Make as many copies of the template as necessary and submit as an ASCII text file or as part of your e-mail.
PLEASE NOTE: The ASCII method involves a manual transcription, hence you are recommended to check your comments to ensure proper import. Please use the comment tool or comment spreadsheet referenced above if possible.

Comments during the creation of D1.7 ==================================== Comment #261 This comment adds a NOTE to Table 33-7. There are multiple ways to achieve this, I would like us to be consistent in it. The typographically best way is to add a row to the bottom of the table that contains the note. This has the benefit that the NOTE cannot drift away from the table. If you see TABLE notes that are done differently, please comment against it. 802.3-2012 uses this method for Table 33-7. Comment #316 Also deleted the word 'Alternatively' for the Pclass-2P paragraph. Comment #319 - Incorrect ref to 33.2.3 => should be 33.2.4 wrt to polarity. Comment #115 There were errors in the change formatting of yseboodt_02_0316.pdf Specifically, in 33.2.10.1.2, the dual-signature text should all refer to Ihold-2P. This was done in the text, but not marked in red. Comment #235, #236 This one wins this Drafts Awesome Comment award. This results in much easier to parse MPS text. I've also used this construction in the Type 1 and Type 2 MPS paragraph Comment #22 Is actually OBE by #115 Comment #286 Suggested remedy of #286 is what was already in D1.6. No changes made as result of this comment. Comment #71 OBE by #72 Comment #74 OBE by #176 Comment #323 OBE by #176 Comment #75 yseboodt_07_0316 made changes to 33.2.7.2, a section which was replaced by #319 / hstewart_02_0316-33_2_7_1to2-v3-BASELINE.pdf. I have merged changes where possible/obvious, other changes will need to be resubmitted through comments.
