[802.3_B10K] Announcing some pre-CFI consensus calls on "Beyond 10km Optical 100 Gb/s PHYs"

Dear Colleagues,

 

In September’s 802.3 Beyond 10K Study group’s discussions the topic of adding a 100 Gb/s data rate to the study group’s scope came up.  Since 100Gb/s is currently out of scope for that study group, it would be necessary to have a call for interest to have it included in a study group discussion.  Based on the discussion and the positive straw poll, a CFI is planned for November.    

 

A series of prep and consensus building calls will be held on:

Wed Oct 11^th @ 8-9 PT

Wed Oct 25^th @ 8-9PT

Wed Nov 1^st @ 8-9 PT

 

A couple of OL invitations with Webex link will follow shortly.

 

The purpose of the calls will be to walk through the draft presentation ahead of the CFI meeting @ November’s Plenary to gather feedback (and hopefully supporters).
