Colleagues, I received a number of emails from individuals on this subject overnight. I would like to clarify a few things. First, the “30 dB” number below is my best guess at this time. The value in the straw poll is still subject to refinement. Please private email me or talk to me at the interim if you prefer a different number.
Your input on the number is important for me and the CRG to consider as I navigate us to consensus. Second, the straw poll will occur after the related presentations are heard and the comments are introduced. Individuals will have time to apply the presentation content and comment viewpoints into their
decision making process. Safe travels to those going to Hamburg, Germany. With regards, -kent From: Lusted, Kent C <kent.c.lusted@xxxxxxxxx>
Dear Colleagues, The TF Chair and I will take a straw poll at the September 2024 interim meeting to close on the AUI C2M ILdd (die-die) budget topic. Based on my discussions with participants, 30dB seems to be an acceptable
value and I will put it forward to the CRG. I do recognize that some participants want a larger number and other participants want a smaller number. I kindly ask participants to consider if this value can be uses as a starting point? (e.g. Adopt now and
refine in future drafts) The exact wording is still being formed, but it will be something like this: I would support setting the AUI C2M ILdd (die-die) to 30 dB Results (all): Y: N: A: Results (802.3 voters only): Y: N: A:
As previously announced, no suggested changes to the wording will be entertained from the floor.
