Re: [802.3_B400G] [802.3dj] Tuesday AM0 (8-9am) will be used for optical/common topics.

Yesterday, many of the questions after the presentation of the Functional Receiver / FEC code bin limits proposal were not fully answered because of time limitations.
To help with understanding, I put together a spread-sheet case-study to better explain the test, see below. It shows that the test:

Today, at lunch, I will hold an informal tutorial explaining the proposal, with the help of the case study. We can run additional scenarios to help in the understanding. We will meet at the entrance to the lunch area at 11:50AM and find a table. You can also reach out directly to me or others on the Author Team with questions.

Thank you

Chris

For those not on the optical track reflector where the invite is sent, you can get the log in information here: https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html [ieee802.org]

Subject: [802.3_B400G] [802.3dj] Tuesday AM0 (8-9am) will be used for optical/common topics.

Based on the slower than anticipated progress so far today, we’ve decided that we will need to utilize the AM0 session (8-9am) on Tuesday morning to cover some of the optical related comments (related to TDECQ) that we consider having common interest.

Only the optical track will be meeting in AM0 session.

We will meet in the optical track room (same one as we’re in today).  At the start of AM1, the optical track will continue and folks participating in the electrical and logic tracks will be able to move across to their rooms.

Regards,Mark
