The reason I am asking is that we are trying to implement and associated coverage and IET impacts flow run out requirements and calculating those requirements has run into some issues. And since they are not
changed in the IET draft the base 802.3 values must work, which we are finding to not be true. There are a couple of other items we have run into as well in the newer draft. There is the SMD-R and SMD-V which are used in the state machines and they are not defined. Regards Denis Beaudoin DMTS Texas Instruments

Denis, Why you are asking this? In my mind the flow control is no more needed. At least the combination makes no sense for me from the standpoint of applications. There was a similar discussion during the joint .1TSN and .3br meeting with the conclusion that flow control can be substituted by this better approach of IET
