IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Metadata Services Study Group

With the approval of the IEEE P802.3dt PAR on 12 February 2026, the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Metadata Services Study Group has completed its charter and transitioned to the IEEE P802.3dt Ethernet Metadata Services Task Force. The IEEE P802.3dt Task Force home page is http://www.ieee802.org/3/dt/.

On 1 August 2025, the IEEE 802 LMSC chartered a Study Group under the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group to develop a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and Criteria for Standards Development (CSD) responses for "Ethernet Metadata Services".
