Thank you David, I hope your travel problems are solved and you can attend the meeting tomorrow. To give you more time to get from the airport to the meeting place, I will suggest the Study Group membership a change in the agenda to accommodate your contribution before the planned break at 3:30pm. With a little bit of luck, you could be at the meeting by then. Have a safe trip. I have also uploaded one more contribution (marked as post-deadline) from David Piehler – it covers the missing references for ExEPON_1109_piehler_2.pdf. Presentation of this material is pending approval of the Study Group’s membership. Regards Acting Chair, Extended EPON Study Group, http://www.ieee802.org/3/EXTND_EPON/ From: David Li [mailto:dli@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Dear colleagues, I am sorry that I cannot arrive the Holiday Inn Chicago before the Extended 10G-EPON meeting on Monday. I had an unlucky experience with United Airline today. My flight UA850 was supposed to departure from Beijing and arrive at Chicago at 4:30pm on Sunday (09/11). Now the UA850 had been cancelled. We boarded the flight on time. Just a few minutes before the regular flight departure time, we was told that the flight has some mechanical problem. The weather Radar does not work. After staying in the plane for 2 hours, we were noticed that the mechanical problem cannot be fixed, and we would be transferred to the other airplane. After waiting in the 2nd airplane for 2 hours, we were told that some of the crews are over their working time limit and the flight is cancelled. Now we are relocated in a hotel nearby the airport, and waiting to board on the flight again in the morning. If tomorrow’s flight is on time, I will arrive at Chicago airport around 12:00pm on Monday. I may get in the Holiday Inn to attend the IEEE802.3 meeting at about 3:00pm. I would like to ask the study group to change my presentation slot time to 3:20pm, if possible. In case my flight tomorrow was in trouble again, I would like to suggest and authorize Marek to present the “Current Status of the 10G-EPON Power Budget and Improvement”. Best regards, David From: Marek Hajduczenia [mailto:marek.hajduczenia@xxxxxx] Dear colleagues, The agenda for the meeting and the opening report have been posted on September meeting website See you all next week in Chicago and safe travels Regards Acting Chair, Extended EPON Study Group, http://www.ieee802.org/3/EXTND_EPON/ From: Marek Hajduczenia [mailto:marek.hajduczenia@xxxxxx] Dear colleagues, All contributions received by the submission deadline have been posted on the website for September interim meeting, at http://www.ieee802.org/3/EXTND_EPON/public/1109/index.html Considering that we have only half a day meeting and a lot of ground to cover, I would like to ask you to first and foremost review the submitted contributions (both technical and organizational ones) and prepare for the discussion at the meeting. A detailed agenda and the opening report will be posted soon Regards Acting Chair, Extended EPON Study Group, http://www.ieee802.org/3/EXTND_EPON/ |
