Re: [802.3_GEPOF] Home Networking bandwidth growth needs and POF

Hello All,

I will be at the call and explain the attached file on behalf of Serizawa-san today.

The key point is that a Japan national project, different from JasPar, which develops and demonstrates components and systems for realizing Optical Gigabit Ethernet for Automotive, 1 Gbps - 10 G bps, has been just started showed in the last two slide. We hope the schedule will be an effective bridge between IEEE and automotive industry. The other parts which we introduced in Beijing will be revised soon.

Best regards,

Shigeru Kobayashi

TE Connectivity

Hello Eugene and all,

I must apologize that I will not able to join this meeting today and next week.

My colleague (Takayuki Tajima) will be participating.

For the automotive section, I asked Kobayashi-san (TE) to explain slide-set on behalf of my self today. (I will make it in November).

I think we need to have a lot of discussions in regards to home networking and no time enough to discuss other sections. However, if we can review automotive section today, please ask for Kobayashi-san.

Basically, I would like to reuse a material at Beijing meeting + some updates.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

N Serizawa

Dear GEPOF participants:

Attached is a presentation titled "Home Networking bandwidth growth needs and POF " for discussion at tomorrow's call. As the title indicates I am addressing the bandwidth needs for home networking for today and tomorrow from a service provider point of view.

Regards,
Eugene
