Re: [802.3_ISAAC] November plenary meeting presentations guidelines

Colleagues:

Happy Halloween 😊

We currently have 17 presentations in the queue for November and this is a reminder that the presentation request deadline is tomorrow per the email below.  Once the deadline is past I’ll update the website and send out another note.  Based on the requested time we currently have ~8 hours of presentations which works nicely with our extended schedule.

Cheers

Subject: November plenary meeting presentations guidelines

Colleagues:

I’m sorry this is late coming out, but I’ve been working on an updated system for presentation requests to make this easier for me and make sure nothing is missed.  I’m modeling this after what P802.3dj is using so we will give it a try and modify according to our group.  Basically we are going to use Google Forms instead of email to request a presentation slot.

I’ll have the google form up in a few hours but wanted to send this email with the presentations dates prior to that.  I’ll send another email once the form is “live” so you can start signing up for presentations for November!

Presentation requests are due no later than November 1, 2024 @ 17h00 Central Time US.

Presentations for posting are due no later than November 7, 2024 @ 17h00 Central Time US.

The form is going to ask a few questions to help me arrange the time better.  Only the requestor of the presentation will be listed on the website, but please put all contributors in the presentation as you have been doing previously.

One other item of note is that the other SPE groups have given us additional time during the plenary week.  We will now be able to meet for a full 2 days.  We will meet Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.  Based on the number of presentations we receive, I’ll send out an agenda after November 1, 2024.

Cheers
