[802.3_ISAAC] Meeting announcements - General Ad Hoc, Pre-plenary interim meeting and Plenary meeting information

Colleagues:

Please forgive the long email, but given vacation in the summer months, I wanted to share multiple items with you at once.

  1. To facilitate discussion and consensus building in 802.3dm, I am announcing a general-purpose ad hoc meeting for Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 9am-10:50am CDT.  You can find the meeting details at https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html [ieee802.org].

The purpose of this meeting is not limited to any topic, but based on discussions in May and on the reflector, I might suggest some contributions on the following topics:

-          Link Segment Return Loss

-          Link Segment delay

-          Attributes of PHY proposals

-          Progressing the details and understanding of PHY proposals

While detailed text may be presented, and can be posted, it may be best to use the limited ad hoc time for topics that require discussion or clarifying questions.

George Zimmerman has graciously agreed to chair the ad hoc, please send presentation requests to him by COB Friday June 20, and presentations for posting by COB Tuesday June 24th.

  1. Please see the following poll on potential interim meeting dates for a pre-plenary interim meeting as announced during the May interim meeting.  https://forms.gle/iBbUkuPaHdDGzszKA

I’ll leave the poll open until Friday 6/6/2025 17h00 CDT and schedule the off-cycle interim meeting based on the results of this poll.

  1. I have also created the google form for presentations for the July Plenary:  https://forms.gle/948U6JvHf5NR9QRK9

I realize that you may not know if you will have a presentation yet but posting this earlier due to summer travel and holiday 😊Note that we will have a full 2 days in July for discussions.  Thanks to DA and DG for allowing DM the additional time.

We made progress in May and these meetings are to try and keep that momentum going without undue stress on everyone’s calendars.

Cheers

Jon Lewis | Chair - IEEE P802.3dm Asymmetrical Electrical Automotive Ethernet Task Force
