With the approval of the IEEE P802.3dm PAR on 21 March 2024, the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet for Automotive Imaging Sensors Study Group has completed its charter and transitioned to the IEEE P802.3dm Asymmetrical Electrical Automotive Ethernet Task Force.

The IEEE 802 LMSC Executive Committee has chartered a Study Group under the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group to develop a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and Criteria for Standards Development (CSD) responses for "an electrical physical layer specification and related functionality of a client optimized for automotive end-node cameras".
