DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en-US:Dear Colleagues\,\n\nThe fourth meeting of the I
EEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc will be held Wednesday\, July 3rd\, 20
13 at 8:00AM PDT.\nA proposed agenda follows:\n\n1. 8:00 am meeting s
tart\n• Roll call - Record attendance\, attendees’ names and aff
iliations (Following previous meeting practice\, ad hoc attendees are aske
d to please email B. Booth or P. Cibula a note confirming their attendance
)\n\n2. Reminder of IEEE patent policy\n• www.ieee802.org/3/p
atent.html<http://www.ieee802.org/3/patent.html>\n\n3. Housekeeping:\
n• Approve June 19th meeting minutes (unapproved minutes are locat
ed here<http://www.ieee802.org/3/bq/public/channelmodeling/2013_June19th_C
hannel_Model_Ad_Hoc_Meeting_Minutes.pdf>)\n• Ad hoc charter/scope
and deliverables for new participants (included for reference in the follo
wing two bullets)\n• Defining a set of channel models for PHY comp
lexity evaluation\, including host channel model\n• Provide early
feedback on key parameters to cabling bodies (Can a parameter be improved?
Is a relaxation a cost benefit?)\n\n4. New business for this ad hoc
meeting:\n• Action Item updates from June 19th meeting\n•
C. DiMinico: Update contribution with ?\n• P. Cibula: Work to get
10GBASE-T system PCB channel modeling and measurements into an ad-hoc fri
endly\, shareable format. Solicit PCB modeling and measurement inputs from
other system implementors.\n• C. DiMinico\, M. Grimwood\, W. Lars
en\, and S. Vaden: Develop a single-wire to differential port mapping conv
ention for use in touchstone modeling/measurement data transfer.\n•
All ad hoc subteams: Consider ILD affects in future modeling efforts (No
te from the co-chairs: No specific update is expected for this general ac
tion item\, but the floor will be open for discussion of best-known-method
s and practices on incorporating ILD into models)\n\n• Channel Mod
eling ad hoc sub-team updates with discussion\n• MDI and isolation
path (M. Grimwood and G. Zimmerman)\n• PCB stackup and noise for
10GBASE-T systems (B. Booth and P. Cibula)\n• MDI-to-MDI cabling c
hannel (C. DiMinico and W. Larsen\n\n• New contributions with dis
cussion\n• Presenters please note: If you are planning to submit
a contribution for this ad hoc meeting\, please send it to Dave Chalupsky\
, Pete Cibula & Brad Booth by 2pm PDT Tuesday\, July 2nd. Thanks!\n\n5.
