DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en-US:Dear Colleagues\,\n\nWith this invitation\, meet
ings of the IEEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc are scheduled for every o
ther Tuesday at 8:00AM PDT through the end of July\, 2014.\n(We can adjust
specific meeting dates & times as needed\; the series will serve as a fri
endly reminder as you are planning any work for contributions.)\n\nWe are
currently soliciting channel contributions that support the work of our P8
02.3bq Task Force PHY Proposal ad hoc.\nSome topics of interest include sy
stem background noise in the PCB host channel\, “cable dynamics” (chan
ges in cable characteristics when cabling elements are moved)\, and cablin
g channel noise.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to review IEEE meeting gui
delines available at the following URL - https://development.standards.iee
e.org/myproject/Public/mytools/mob/preparslides.pdf\nA proposed general ag
enda for the meeting follows.\n\n8:00 am meeting start\n\n1. Roll cal

ious meeting practice\, ad hoc attendees are asked to please email Brad Bo
oth <brbooth@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:brbooth@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>> or Pete Cibula <
peter.r.cibula@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:peter.r.cibula@xxxxxxxxx>> a note confirmi
ng their attendance)\n\n2. Reminder of IEEE patent policy\nwww.ieee80

keeping\nReview & approve meeting agenda.\nApprove meeting minutes from th
e previous meeting (To be posted to the ad hoc area).\n\n4. New busin
ess for this ad hoc meeting:\n\na. Channel Modeling ad hoc sub-team u
pdates with discussion – status of new/ongoing work\n• PCB trans
mission lines and noise for 10GBASE-T systems (B. Booth and P. Cibula)\n
• MDI-to-MDI cabling channel (C. DiMinico and W. Larsen)\n•
MDI and isolation path (G. Zimmerman)\n\nb. New contributions with
discussion\n• Specific items will be announced before each meetin
g.\n\n\n• Presenters please note:\no If you are planning to
submit a contribution for this ad hoc meeting\, please notify Dave Chalups
ky\, Brad Booth & Pete Cibula.\no Contributions are encouraged to be
submitted the Friday before the scheduled meeting (However\, we will glad
ly accept “real time” contributions –Thanks in advance to all contri

Cibula\nP802.3bq Channel Modeling ad hoc Co-Chairs\n\n*I think I heard Geo
rge Zimmerman claim this title in his last PHY proposal ad hoc meeting.\nC
ompetition for the coveted “most fun ad hoc” is heating up!\n\n.......
