As the subject says, the meeting moved from today (Feb 17th) to next week (Feb 24th). Cheers Peter Peter Jones NGEABT Study Group Architecture Ad Hoc Chair
From: Peter Jones (petejone)
Hi Folks, Apart from Yong(see discussion below), I got no other request for presentation slots this week.
This could be because there is not much else to discuss, or maybe just because I did not give people enough notice. I’ve made an executive decision to postpone tomorrow for one week in the same time slot (see new appointment attached). We will now have the NGEABT Study Group Architecture
Ad-hoc conference call (resuming) Tuesday Feb 24 9:00am PST Sorry for the moderate level of confusion. Regards Peter Peter Jones NGEABT Study Group Architecture Ad Hoc Chair

Dear Peter, I have one (grossly non-technical) contribution, but if you do not have enough contributions/presentation-requests (due to short notice, as you pointed out),
I agree that you schedule the call out to later time and make that call productive for all interested .3 colleagues.

Hmm – 24 hours before is not reasonable when I send out the invite on Sunday for a Tuesday 9:00am PST meeting. How about tell me by ~2:00PM PST Monday (19 hours?). Cheers Peter _______________________________________________

Hi Folks, As per the attached outlook invite. I received a request to restart the
NGEABT Study Group Architecture Ad-hoc calls.
I’ve
used the same time slot (Tuesday 9:00am – 10:30am PST, which I hope has a low conflict rate). Ad Hoc goals (as per the NGEABT Study Group Chair) from before January were
The purpose of the ad-hoc will be to discuss the different areas of work (use cases, MAC rate, supported channels, PHY layering & modulation, etc.) that will fall under the work of the group and to prepare
content and contributions towards the study group's goal of developing the required documentation of objectives, PAR and CSD.
Remember that we are a contribution-driven organization. I urge you to bring forward materials that will lead to having the objectives, PAR and CSD ready for approval by the study group in January. Since we have
objectives, PAR and CSD approved,
I think our goals are
a little more general for advancing the work of the group as a whole, while keeping out of the way of the
active
“Use
Case” and
“Enterprise Noise” adHocs. If you are interested in presenting, please request time at least
24 hours prior to the meeting. Agenda information will be provided prior to each meeting. Please familiarize yourself with the meeting guidelines and patent policy before the meeting. Meeting guidelines:
https://development.standards.ieee.org/myproject/Public/mytools/mob/preparslides.pdf Patent policy:
www.ieee802.org/3/patent.html I has a request for time from Mr Kim (see below). Please let me know if anyone else has something to present. Right now, I have only set up one meeting.
We can see if we want/need more before the plenary in Berlin. Regards Peter Peter Jones NGEABT Study Group Architecture Ad Hoc Chair

Sure – I will look for a timeslot next week. Are you thinking weekly or every two weeks? I will look for a 90 min slot, hoping to be done in 60. Regards Peter _______________________________________________

Dear Peter, Hope all is well. Are you planning to resume Arch ad hoc calls before March meeting?
I have a contribution in mind, and I suspect other colleagues may also -- to help
speed along this work through 802.3 process. So please consider this as a request to consider resumption of Arch ad hoc calls.
Thanks! best regards, Yong Kim |
