Thanks, Pete. We have received a number of contribution requests for the combination of 802.3bq and 25GBASE-T Study Group meeting in
Pittsburgh. In talking with our Chair about meeting planning, contributions unrelated to comments will be heard as time allows after
the business of comment resolution in the bq meeting.
802.3bz (2.5G/5G Task Force) has a set start time already.
Because of our limited time and our primary focus on comment resolution, it would be an efficient use of time to hear those contributions in ad hoc prior to the meeting, to offload our meeting work.
If you have submitted a request for presentation (or plan to), and would be willing to help us out by presenting in the ad hoc, please email me directly, and I will put together an agenda for our ad hoc meeting.
Please consider this the formal meeting announcement for the ad hoc. George Zimmerman Chair 802.3bq PHY ad hoc Chief Editor IEEE P802.3bq 40GBASE-T Task Force Principal, CME Consulting Experts in Advanced
PHYsical Communications Technology george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 310-920-3860 (PLEASE NOTE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS.
THE OTHER WILL STILL WORK, BUT PLEASE USE THIS FOR CME BUSINESS) From: Cibula,
Peter R [mailto:peter.r.cibula@xxxxxxxxx] Dear Colleagues, Please note that
the next planned meeting of the P802.3bq Rx CMNR ad hoc, scheduled for May 13th, 2015, is cancelled. Further note that this cancellation is taking place in order to accommodate a meeting of the P802.3bq PHY ad hoc. The PHY ad hoc meeting, which will be led by PHY ad hoc chair George Zimmerman, will re-use both the 9:30AM to 11:00AM PDT time slot and the Lync meeting
logistics. Please look for a PHY ad hoc meeting announcement and agenda from George in the near future. One final item of Rx CMNR ad hoc business for your consideration: As discussed in the April 29th Rx CMNR ad hoc meeting, I will be sending out a separate note to the reflector requesting review and feedback on the
text of a possible informative Annex (Annex 113A) for subclause 113.5.4.3. I have asked Mr. Chalupsky to post those documents to the P802.3bq Rx CMNR ad hoc area, and will forward hyperlinks to the documents when they are posted. As a reminder, contributions related to the work of the ad hoc are welcomed, including those related to refining details of implementation (source-adjustment
criteria, measurement points, and levels used) as suggested by the editor’s note in our P8023bq D2.0, subclause 113.5.4.3. For your reference, the specification currently in the draft may be viewed in the D2.0 document. Thank you to all participants for our ongoing constructive and informative discussions on this topic.
