We have had a request to hear a late comment on 802.3bz.
See below for details. Commenter: Jerome Yu Company: Real-tek Clause 126 Subclause
126.3.6.2.3 Page 104 Line 48 Comment:
lfer_timer in P104 L48 should be changed to 125/S us in order to keep the same bit error ratio as in 10G.
End Comment: Suggested Remedy: per comment End Remedy Proposed Response: ACCEPT.
The existing text says lfer_timer is 125 x S
usec, which is in error. S = 1 for 5GBASE-T and 0.5 for 2.5GBASE-T. The duration of
lfer_timer should not decrease when the LDPC frame time increases, including fewer frames, but rather should at least increase. George Zimmerman Principal, CME Consulting Experts

THE OTHER WILL STILL WORK, BUT PLEASE USE THIS FOR CME BUSINESS) From: Jerome-yu
[mailto:jerome-yu@xxxxxxxxxxx] Hi George, Sorry for late comment. I don’t know if it still in time. lfer_timer in P104 L48 should be changed to 125/S us in order to keep the same bit error ratio as in 10G.
Would you please help to check this. Thank you. Regards, Jerome |
