Colleagues,
Thank you for a productive teleconference today (my today). In preparation for our teleconference next week I have the following requests.
The first part of today’s call was focused on Mr. Perez-Aranda’s presentations originally presented on 8 February but cut short because of time. The February 8 presentations have been updated to accommodate comments received from others since 8 February. It is expected that Ruben's updated presentations will be the subject of a motion on our 22 February teleconference. Please be prepared to vote on adopting these baseline presentations on the 22nd.
Watanabe-san presented required Information to do a PAR split. His presentation took a significant portion of the call today. Thanks to all of you that did work on a PAR split in prior teleconferences. That work was very helpful in getting to Watanabe-san’s presentation today. And thank you to those that commented today on improving Watanabe-san’s proposal. A revised presentation will be the basis for creating the six documents needed to accomplish a “PAR split”.
P802.3cz PAR modification
P802.3cz CSD responses changes
P802.3 Objectives changes
P802.3dh PAR (new)
P802.3dh CSD responses (new)
P802.3ch Objectives
If you are interested in working on further refining the language we worked on today, please let me know soon, or post suggestions on the reflector. I commit to work with Watanabe-san to implement the short list of refinements requested during today’s teleconference that were not captured on the screen during today's discussion. I hope we can have an update including the short list of improvements and the on-screen edits done today posted in a few days.
Please be prepared to vote on progressing the PAR split for March consideration during our 22 Feb teleconference.
The third presentation was from our Chief Editor. The substance behind that presentation is a proposed draft that is believed to meet the requirements for WG ballot. This is often referred to as “technically complete”. Because this Chief Editor’s draft is based on P802.3cz/D1.2 with TF review comment resolutions plus new content, this Chief Editor’s draft has been posted in the private area. Please be prepared to consider adoption of this draft as D1.3 on 22 February as part of our efforts to progress work on Multi-Gigabit Optical Automotive Ethernet.
