IEEE 802.3 Pin-Optimized PHY Interface Study Group Procedure for Presenters

Deadline for Requesting Agenda Time to Make a Contribution

  • Contributors shall request agenda time to make a contribution by [TWO THURSDAYS] (AoE) preceding the week of the meeting.
  • Requests for agenda time shall be submitted by sending an email to the chair.

  • The contributor shall provide the following information:
    • Name of contributor
    • Title of contribution
    • Length of time requested (this should include time for questions and answers)
    • Brief description of the topic

  • If the "agenda time request" deadline is missed, agenda time will be provided for the contribution on a best-effort basis following the completion of the regular agenda (or as deemed appropriate by the chair) if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

Deadline for Submitting a Contribution

  • The contributor shall submit a PDF soft-copy version of the contribution by email to the Chair by the [MONDAY] (AoE) of the week preceding the meeting for publication on the TF_STR Task Force web site.

  • If the "contribution submission" deadline is missed, agenda time for the contribution will be provided on a best-effort basis following the completion of the regular agenda (or as deemed appropriate by the chair) if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so, and before any contribution that failed to meet the "agenda time request" deadline. A PDF, soft-copy version of the contribution shall be made available to the Chair before the beginning of the presentation.

Contribution Guidelines

  • Failure to meet guidelines may result in a loss of requested agenda time.

    • Relative cost comparison contributions that do not follow these guidelines require an IEEE SA Risk Management review
    • This review may take up to 30 days which could result in the contribution being delayed to a later meeting
