Re: [802.3_RTPGE] P802.3bp - Chair's Standard Offer -Reminder

George,

Thanks for pointing that out. The text of the email covers that, but I’ll get the page updated.

So, in case anyone is confused, comments from outside the sponsor ballot pool are non-binding, e.g. no ER or TR allowed, hence the “Must be satisfied” field is always “No.”

Regards,

Steve

Steve - thanks for putting the rogue comments spreadsheet on the web page. One thing not mentioned there - as I understand it, for all 'rogue comments' the 'must be satisfied' field must be "No"

Why they didn't put that into the spreadsheet in the IEEE-SA, I don't know. Maybe some groups allow mandatory rogue comments....

Colleagues,

The initial Sponsor ballot has opened on IEEE P802.3bp/D3.0 with a ballot

close date of Thursday 14th January 2016 23:59 ET. Our work plan for the

January interim will be to resolve comments to the initial sponsor ballot.

P802.3bp is scheduled to meet Monday and Tuesday.

If you have joined the Sponsor ballot group and are planning to comment

further on the draft, please, follow the instructions provided on the

myBallot portal <https://development.standards.ieee.org/my-site/home> under

'Balloting' -> 'myBallot Home' -> 'Manage myBallot Activity'. Remember that

balloting and commenting is done via the Web-based My Ballot system for

members of the SB pool.

If you did not join the Sponsor ballot group, but still would like to

comment on the draft, it will save the task force officers significant

effort if you would send your comments to Marek Hajduczenia

<marek.hajduczenia@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> for inclusion in the ballot by Tuesday

12th January 2016 AOE. Such comments will be identified in the comment field

as coming from you, and like all comments from outside the ballot group will

be non-binding. A web page containing the instructions on how to do this and

the spreadsheet that you will need to use to enter your comments is

available at

<http://www.ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/non_voter_comment/index.html>. If you are

a non-Windows user of Excel, please check for and remove non-printing

characters in your spreadsheet. These will cause the ballot import to fail

in MyBallot. This spreadsheet uses YET ANOTHER format---it is not compatible

with the 802.3 FileMaker tool output or the new 802.3 Excel spreadsheet.

Copies of the myBallot Excel rogue comment spreadsheet as .xls and .csv have been attached for your use.

Your “Web ID” is your IEEE user account (usually the email address you get IEEE mailings on), the “Subclause”

is the whole clause number (e.g., 113.7.2.1) , AND, for type, type in “Editorial” “Technical” or “General”.

Regards,

Steve
