All – we have had a number of text proposals in presentations, some easily related to comments, some not, and some adding new content. What I propose to do today is to go through comment resolution, with the proposed responses, and where
a presentation is directly relevant to the text being modified, address it. Time permitting, we will then review the individual text from the presentations. To aid this, and aid you all, Val and I went through the various presentations for text proposals
and correlated them to issues and specific comments. While these are just our individual thoughts, and we will review each text proposal, I have included it below, to aid your review and thoughts – and hopefully to speed our work. -george Text proposals: Chris: 168.8.1.1 – slide 9 – TCI insertion loss text editorial rewrite, no technical change, specifies there will be an equation but no equation provided. 168.8.1.2 – slide 10 – TCI – return loss editorial rewrite, no technical change, specifies there will be an equation but no equation provided. (perhaps accommodated by comment 11) 168.7 – slide 12- rewrite of 2nd paragraph of 168.7, (P71 L7-11) and figure 168-17. No comment. (we have resolved other comments which changed this text) 168.8 (slide 13) – change two wire to 2 wire. Change interface to connection. TC3 may not be accessible no specific comment. George: 168.7.1 Slide 28 – Mixing Segment Insertion Loss – adds form of equation with number of DTE and text explaining that. Probably not ready for adoption. 168.7.2 Slide 29 – Mixing segment return loss – delete first paragraph (Mixing segment RL at TC3). Other text fixed by comment 8 – also addressed in comment 70, probably want to look at then. 168.8.1.1 slide 31 – TCI insertion loss – delete without PMA paragraph, (resolved by comment 10) and make the 2nd paragraph unconditional. (possible addition) 168.8.1.2 slide 32 – TCI return loss – delete spec w/o PMA loading – L28-35), (resolved by comment 11) ; There is no edit to the 2nd paragraph… 168.8 slide 33 – add text specifying all TCI specs are with PMA or load attached to 168.8. (no comment). Michael – Paul_01 – slides 3 & 4 – defines current flow at TCI – new subject, new section – needs motion. Paul_02 – done in proposed resolutions. Paul_03 – slide 3 – new parameters for PSE table – needs motion
