Hi Peter, and colleagues,

 

The ITU-T documents that Pete Anslow and myself were referring to are:

l  G.698.1 (in-force, published 2009) for 2.5G/10G unamplified DWDM systems, publicly available at: https://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-G.698.1-200911-I

l  G.698.2 (in-force, published 2009) for 2.5/10G amplified DWDM systems, publicly available at: https://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-G.698.2-200911-I

l  And then there is the latest draft version of G.698.2, including draft specifications for 100G DWDM systems, liaised to IEEE 802.3 at the San Diego meeting: See C5 on http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/jul18/index.html

All of these contain multi-vendor interoperable optical interface specifications.
