RE: [10GBASE-CX4] Working Paper Available on IEEE site

Title: Message
Hi Arthur,

Bob Grow has indicated to me that he will be requesting Howard Frazier
to accomodate our use of Clause 54 because our schedule is such that
10GBASE-CX4 is likely to be the next released document.

That said, I have not heard yet whether Howard has agreed to this.

I appreciate your point and I believe we have to make a decision quickly,
but for a "working paper" I believe that the point is not yet critical.

Regards,

Dan Dove

Dan, Howard,
802.3ah were intending to use Clause 54 as an introduction for EFM.

If you go with Clause 54 for CX4 then the 802.3ah draft will need to be modified
to free up Clause 54.

Arthur.

10GBASE-CX4 Study Group Members,

In anticipation of the editorial review we will want to perform
at the upcoming meeting in Vancouver, Howard Baumer has provided
a copy of his working paper proposal.

I have placed it on the 10GBASE-CX4 website at the following URL.

http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/3/10GBCX4/wp2p01.pdf

Please open and review that document and provide feedback to Howard as soon
as possible. You can reach him at hbaumer@broadcom.com.

Regards,

Dan Dove
