Re: [8023-CMSG] PAR proposal
Ben
This looks like a big step in the right directions.
My comments are as follows
Slide - PAR Purpose (14) -
I was wandering if the scope of the improvement defined for "Ethernet
link" is clear enough. Does the term "Ethernet link" includes LAG ? Is
there a way for some to interpret that as more than single hop ?
Slide - PAR Purpose (14a) (3 of 3 )
I think we need to add something along the following
> The lack of standard congestion management functions for the Ethernet
link, have driven the market to deploy proprietary solution, which may
deteriorate the robustness Ethernet has been traditionally been known
and successful with .
> for the existing bullet add - improve performance , or improve network
performance
Thanks

Subject: [8023-CMSG] PAR proposal
All,
This is not a full cut at the PAR but covers the more interesting pieces
- Title, Scope, and Purpose. Please review and comment.
Again, this, or something similar, needs to be approved in Ottawa next
week in order to pre-circulate for approval at the WG level in San
Antonio in November. Please give this serious attention and comment with
actual suggested changes.
Thanks,
Ben
