[802.3_DWDM] Comment Resolution

All,

At last week’s Interim Teleconference Meeting there was a discussion about appropriate responses to comments when insufficient detail has been provided by the commenter.  As I noted on the call, the commenter and the Comment Resolution Group (CRG) both have guidelines that should be followed:

 

• The IEEE SA guidelines for commenting on draft standards in Standards Association ballot can be accessed at  <https://standards.ieee.org/content/dam/ieee-standards/standards/web/governance/revcom/Guidelines_for_commenting_on-draft_standards.pdf>.
• The IEEE SA Balloting and Comment Resolution Process Guidelines can accessed at <https://standards.ieee.org/content/dam/ieee-standards/standards/web/governance/revcom/guidelines.pdf>.

 

Please note that one of the reasons a comment can be rejected is when

• The proposed change in the comment does not contain sufficient detail so that  the  CRG  can  understand  the  specific  changes  that  satisfy  the commenter.
