[802.3_DWDM] Joint Interim Task Force Meeting - Sept 21

All,

As discussed on today’s joint interim teleconference – the IEEE P802.3ct and IEEE P802.3cw Task Forces will still be meeting on Monday, Sept 21.  The announced time is 10am to 1pm, ET, but it is anticipated that the meeting is likely to be over sooner than 1pm.

 

The agenda for this meeting was to primarily focus on comment resolution for D2.1.  However, given the progress of the TF , the updated agenda items include

1. Review / approval of liaisons from both task forces.  Earlier reviewed drafts include

• Proposed Liaision to ITU-T / CableLabs regarding P802.3ct - https://www.ieee802.org/3/ct/public/tf_interim/20_0813/IEEE_802d3_to_ITU_CAB_3ct_0920_draft2.pdf
• Proposed Liaision to OIF / ITU-T regarding P802.3cw - https://www.ieee802.org/3/ct/public/tf_interim/20_0813/IEEE_802d3_to_ITU_OIF_3cw_0920_draft2.pdf

2. Review of IEEE P802.3cw Draft 0.x (Note it will be uploaded by end of this week)
3. Further discussion regarding Zhang’s “Towards a baseline specification for 400GBASE ZR transmitter clock phase jitter” (see - https://www.ieee802.org/3/ct/public/tf_interim/20_0917/zhang_3cw_01_200917.pdf)
4. Currently I am discussing a potential technical presentation  with an individual, but it is unclear if it will be ready for the call. 
5. Other – to be announced.
