Re: [802.3_100G-OPTX] Rough plan on P802.3cu this week

Hi Kent,

I suspect that the topic of greatest common interest for the optical guys is 100G FEC. Since Mark doesn’t think he will use tomorrow afternoon, is there a way to arrange for that topic to be taken on Tuesday PM?

Regards,

Steve

If it helps, the current plan for 3ck is as follows:

Monday afternoon:

  • Opening biz.
  • 100G FEC
  • CR

Tuesday:

  • Finish CR then discussion & straw polls.
  • C2M (rest of the day)

Of course, this is subject to change…

Hi,

Since many people are trying to juggle their time between .3cu and .3ck I thought I’d provide some info in email to help with everyone’s plans.

With the caveat that this might not follow as planned, our current working assumption is that we will tackle to following topics at the following times in .3cu:

Monday Afternoon:

  • Opening etc
  • Nomenclature discussion and decision
  • Comment resolution on most topics (link budgets refinements, editorial etc)

Tuesday (Start @ 9am)

  • Start with comment resolution/discussion on the TDECQ-SECQ topic
  • Close out remainder of work

With the comment count we are dealing with I don’t expect to need to go into the afternoon on Tuesday but obviously at this point I’m not able to confirm.

Mark
