[802.3_B400G_ELEC] Updated baseline for 100G/lane electrical interfaces and PMDs for March meeting series

Colleagues,

 

I am preparing an updated draft of the 800 GbE electrical interfaces and PMDs baseline proposal for 100G/lane (specifically 53.125 GBd/lane) for consideration by the Task Force. 

 

 

The feedback that I captured from February was as follows:

• Remove the 1.6TbE proposal.  More discussion on the 1.6TbE direction is needed at the TF level. 
• Clarify the proposed signaling rate to be 106.25 Gbps/lane 

 

 

Based on the feedback, I made the following changes to the presentation:

• Added a few slides to the beginning to level-set the audience and explicitly call out 106.25 Gbps/lane.   
• Remove the 1.6TbE slides

 

 

 

Please let me know if you have any other feedback or would like to have an discussion prior to the 15 March meeting.
