COM Feature request

 

  1. Would like to request that COM be able to support floating DFE taps or floating FFE taps when Rx FFE is configured.

Currently if an RX FFE or Rx FFE+DFE is requested by the configuration, then the floating taps are floating FFE taps.
I think having Rx FFE + floating DFE taps is a nicer feature than floating FFE taps.

 

  1. Would like to gate the starting position of the floating DFE taps, e.g. to exclude the FFE positions.

 

 

I have attached a modified 4.5beta3 to a) execute FFE only and b) FFE + floating DFE taps.

While the COM codes runs for the FFE + floating DFE taps, its results is worse than FFE alone.
