[802.3EEESG] April meeting outcome
Folks,
We had a good meeting in Ottawa last week. Nortel was an excellent host
and I am grateful for their support. We had two presentations from
Mandeep Chadha discussing RPS feasibility for 1000BASE-T and 10BASE-T
amplitude optimization. The remainder of the meeting was spent
reviewing and editing the 5 criteria and PAR scope, purpose and need
statements. We were able to adopt the broad market potential criterion
and the PAR components. The website has been updated. During our
discussions on the feasibility criteria, it was noted that we need more
material to support them and we have a couple of people who have
committed to bringing in information at the May interim. It would be
good to have more and I will send a call for presentations shortly.
We're getting closer to having everything ready to submit the PAR, so I
encourage you to review what we have done so far and comment to me or
via the reflector if you have concerns or questions regarding the
proposed project.
Regards,
Mike
