ADSL/VDSL support network timing (NTR). Cable DOCSIS also supports
network timing. I am sure there were good reasons for including network
timing in these standards. So, I am not sure I understand why the objection
for EFM copper/fiber. I would think for a service provider this should be a
welcome feature since it will open the door for more services that can be
deployed over EFM.
What's problematic about network timing support on EFM copper ?
