Re: [EFM-P2MP] Clause 99 - thin mac

All,

I've posted 4 new files to this directory:

Clause99_ifsStretch.pdf - an updated copy of the Clause99 file that was
there
Clause99_ifsStretch_CMP.pdf - compared against Clause 4

Clause99_crs.pdf - a version similar to Clause99_ifsStretch, except that the
ifsStretch mechanism is replaced with the inclusion of CRS (though no COL).
This allows the MAC to operate in full-duplex but be stalled by the
physical
layer. 10GBASE-W (WAN) will need a shim layer below the MAC to count
bytes and assert CRS for a time relative to the length of the packet.
This also
allows EFM-Copper to use this new MAC with their CRS signal. This is a
bit of a stretch from what we talked about this afternoon but I got the idea
from Steve Haddock and thought it was worth presenting.

Clause99_crs_CMP.pdf - a comparison between Clause99_crs and
Clause99_ifsStretch

Regards,
Ben
