I’m responding to a few “where are we” emails ….
Vancouver (January) The January P2MP report is here: http://www.ieee802.org/3/efm/public/jan04/p2mp/. From Draft 3.0, 191 Comments were resolved on Clauses 31A, 64 and 65. Many of the comments focused on clarifications and use of proper conventions. In a joint session, a Simplified Full-Duplex MAC was reviewed and adopted; basically a stripped-down Clause 4, retaining full-duplex and carrier-detect. It is likely P2MP, Copper and others will reference this new section.
Orlando (March) March is a plenary meeting in Orlando, Florida. http://www.ieee802.org/meeting/meeting_files/802-0304-MI-1a.html. At that meeting we will review Comments on Draft 3.1, to produce Draft 3.2. D3.2 will be produced at the meeting on Friday 3/10 so it is important that Comments have specific remedies with exact text.
