IEEE 802.3 Ad Hoc - OIF CEI-28G-VSR Liaison Response 4/15 Meeting Notes Chair: John D’Ambrosia, Force10 Networks Attendees: Jay Neer, Molex Mike Dudek, QLogic Steve Trowbridge, Alcatel-Lucent Beth Donnay, Force10 Networks Lloyd Budd, Nexans Petar Pepeljugoski, IBM Research Adam Healey, LSI Galen Fromm, Molex Nathan Tracy, Tyco Mike Fogg, Tyco Jon Anderson, Opnext Iain Robertson, TI Vittal Balasubramanian, FCI Andre Szczepanek, Inphi Chair reminded everyone of IEEE-SA Patent policy. Call
for patents. No one came forward. Reviewed dambrosia_01_0410.pdf, which included reviewing
oif2010.092.03.pdf, which had been forwarded with the OIF liaison. Discussion focused on issues highlighted in
oif2010.092.03. It was noted that the slide regarding the connector
crosstalk target provided in OIF2010.092.03 is incomplete, as the Tx (voltage
swing, edge rates) is not defined. Chair did call for presentations on these topics for future
meetings, and asked any individuals wishing to present to contact him for
meeting planning. Chair reminded group that the response to the OIF would be
technical, and anticipated that the WG chair would rule the motion “Technical”
requiring a >=75% vote at the WG level. Chair reminded group that discussion related to this ad hoc
activity should be directed to the 802.3 Working Group Dialog Reflector. Discussion regarding schedule of phone calls / meetings to
create the response. A number of individuals indicated that they were not
planning on attending the May interim meeting. Therefore, plan is to hold
conference call on May 18th 10:30am to 12:30pm Eastern. Additional
meetings will be planned as needed afterwards. |
