I was stunned by the news that Hugh had passed away yesterday. Hugh's investment in 802.3 was enormous and I always admired his use of humour to make a serious point and lighten the atmosphere.

It was deeply touching to read tributes from Joel, Mark and others. Hugh was a very special guy who will all miss greatly.
