[802.3_DIALOG] announcing the Architecture ad-hoc to support IEEE 802.3 Next Generation Enterprise Access BASE-T PHY study group

Dear Colleagues,

I’d like to announce the formation of an Architecture ad-hoc to support IEEE 802.3 Next Generation Enterprise Access BASE-T PHY study group.  Peter Jones from Cisco has graciously offered to lead this effort and he will be sending out meeting announcements shortly.

 

We will be using the NGBASET reflector for all communication so if you have not already joined please do so; instructions are on the NGEABT Study Group page http://www.ieee802.org/3/NGEBASET/index.html

The purpose of the ad-hoc will be to discuss the different areas of work (use cases, MAC rate, supported channels, PHY layering & modulation, etc.) that will fall under the work of the group and to prepare content and contributions towards the study group's goal of developing the required documentation of objectives, PAR and CSD.

 

Remember that we are a contribution-driven organization.  I urge you to bring forward materials that will lead to having the objectives, PAR and CSD ready for approval by the study group in January.
