I hope you are having a great summer and life. I'm retiring from tech on Friday and starting a new life as a traveling author and explorer. I graduated from Cal Poly, SLO 25 years ago and am retiring from Electrical Engineering after a great career. I hope to become a successful author and don't plan to return to engineering unless I spend all my money and fail miserably in my new endeavors.
So I want to say goodbye to you as an engineer and hello to you as a traveler and author. I plan to go on at least a year of travel and I might end up overseas for a year or more. You can follow me on Facebook at:

I've enjoyed the last decade meeting many of you developing Ethernet standards, MSAs and in the Ethernet Alliance. I hope I can have a meal or drink with you in the future and maybe you'll find me in some bar where you're meeting in the future.
