Traveling To/From Atlanta, USA
Please take the steps to determine if you require a visa to attend a particular IEEE 802 Meeting. The requirements change from time to time. Because of this, we strongly urge all attendees to review the entry requirements for traveling to each IEEE 802 meeting location and determine for themselves, or in collaboration with their employer, what if any travel documentation is required.
Border Services (Entry and Exit USA) Everyone arriving at a port of entry to the U.S. is subject to inspection by Customs and Border Protection officers for compliance with immigration, customs and agriculture regulations. The more international travelers know about what to expect, the easier and quicker the process becomes.
The following link provides useful information about entry to the USA. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/know-before-you-visit
Local rules, restrictions and guidelines are expected to change rapidly as the COVID-19 situation evolves. IEEE's recommendation with respect to travel is to gather the information you need including referring to your country's consulate or state department for the most up to date information related to travel to your destination, and any countries where you may have layovers as part of your scheduled travel.
In some locations including airports, masks must be worn at all times, whilst at others it is only recommended. Please ensure you are familiar with the face coverings guidance at your destination and/or transit airports. If in doubt, bring a mask with you to ensure your comfort and compliance.
