Dear Colleagues,
IEEE 802.3 will hold its March 2024 plenary session from Monday 11 March 2024 through Thursday 15 March 2024. The plenary session will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, CO, USA with support for mixed-mode attendance
(i.e., remote attendance). Please note that the meetings are being planned around an in-person schedule, with remote access provided on a best-effort basis.
The IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening plenary meeting will begin at 10h00 MDT (16h00 UTC) on Monday 11 March 2024, and the IEEE 802.3 Working Group closing plenary meeting will begin at 13h00 MDT (19h00 UTC) on Thursday 15 March 2024. I will provide the
IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening and closing plenary meeting call information and calendar invitations shortly. IEEE 802.3 Subgroup (Task Force, Study Group, and Ad Hoc) meetings will be scheduled between the IEEE 802.3 Working Group opening and closing plenary
meetings. Please always check <
https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> for the most up-to-date information.
We will gather two records of attendance: [1] the attendance tracking tool (IMAT); and [2] attendance books in each face-to-face meeting along with the teleconference tool attendance. The IMAT attendance tool will be the only official record of attendance
for building and maintaining WG membership. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LOG YOUR ATTENDANCE IN THE IMAT ATTENDANCE TRACKING TOOL. There is no requirement for the IEEE 802.3 Recording Secretary or any other IEEE 802.3 officer to add your attendance
to the IMAT attendance tracking tool if you forget to register it during a meeting. The meeting attendance books along with the teleconference tool attendance will be used to record the attendance in the minutes for each meeting and you must review these minutes
to make sure your attendance is recorded correctly.
Attendance credit toward membership requires attendance at three of the four days of the IEEE 802.3 session, independent of how long a particular subgroup might be meeting. The attendance tracking tool will only allow sign-in on Monday at the opening IEEE
802.3 plenary and on Thursday at the closing IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting (not during the Monday afternoon or Thursday morning meetings). Several WG decisions are expected during the IEEE 802.3 meetings (most during the Thursday Closing plenary meetings). Depending
on the amount of discussion, IEEE 802.3 WG meetings may run beyond their target ending times, so please plan your time accordingly. Additional subgroup information follows.
I look forward to seeing you in Denver, CO, USA.
