The 3rd Standards Association recirculation ballot on the IEEE P802.3dk Greater than 50 Gb/s Bidirectional Optical Access PHYs amendment closed successfully on 24 December 2025. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The 7 and 8 January 2026 IEEE P802.3dk Task Force interim meeting <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html__;!!NpxR!idjFxOceLwZ8zG1-UUenUTnqK1G4CbCPE0YuhMn1u85PquhZOrl2kfGNuFPckez2h1Qb5-IOVDxYYsHHuA$ > will consider the 5 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3dk Task Force reflector.
