[802.3_EPOC] IEEE P802.3bn Chair confirmation
Dear Colleagues,
I have been contacted by a number of participants with concerns with the confirmation vote taken in respect to the Task Force Chair. Based on this, I would like to clarify that the IEEE 802.3 rules state that 'Task Force Chairs shall be appointed by the Working Group chair and confirmed by a Task Force motion that is approved by a minimum 75% majority.'. Further as IEEE 802.3 Working Group Chair, and as Task Force Chair until an appointment is confirmed, I have decided that the confirmation vote will take place among IEEE 802.3 voters only as defined subclause 3.3 'Task Forces/Membership' of the IEEE 802.3 rules.
