We are at the very initial stages of agreement but it would be great if we have some early agreements. I don't think that any of the motions or objectives directly apply to Link so it is an open slate. For this meeting, I was hoping that we could just identify the areas that need to be covered. I like your idea of a recap of any agreements that are relevant to Link. At future meetings, we could discuss possible solutions for any specific area identified at this meeting.
For others, I would like to give a quick definition so you can decide if you want to attend. The PHY link/auto-negotiation will define the procedure and parameters for the CLT PHY and CNU PHY to Link Up to each other before the MAC layer is connected. We start with the power is turned and then... Here are some key areas:
1) Carrying Downstream Link Information
2) Finding the downstream link information
3) Carrying Upstream Link Information
4) Power adjustment
5) Symbol alignment
6) ....
On every configuration parameter, we will need to decide if it should be handled in the PHY Link, MAC MPCP, or OAM.

Ed, 11am PDT Thursday, following the Channel model call, is good (at least for me).
I would like to make one suggestion for the 1st call - review and briefly discussed what the team has agreed on so far w.r.t an EPOC link. This would be very helpful for those of us who may have missed a few previous calls, essentially serving as recap.

I would like to have the first call for the Link Ad Hoc this week. I'm open to suggestions on the day and time for future meetings. For this week, I would like to piggyback on Duane's Channel Model call. I will send out a calendar appointment for Thursday 11:00am PDT (2:00pm EDT).
For the initial meeting, I would like us to define the task. What are we expecting link to do? What areas need definition? We can also discuss future meeting plans. I look forward to working with anyone who would like to participate.
