Dear colleagues, I am attaching the R02 version of a baseline proposal for data rate adaptation (DRA) function for EPoC, derived from 10G-EPON definitions. I make suggestions for TDD and FDD modes alike. Please note that FEC details are TBD right now and we may have additional items to account for, including PHY layer overhead (preamble, CP, etc.) which are up in the air right now. They are easy to add in the future, if they are constant and can be parameterized at this time. If needed, I can provide specific detailed text for direct incorporation into the draft. However, I wonder whether it is not premature. Please comment. I would like this deck to become as clear and acceptable as possible. I am planning to bring in the proposal for January 2013 meeting and would appreciate your feedback in advance, both in terms of comments and support.
