[STDS-802-3-EPOC] US time interleaving setting

In the draft (pg 39 ln 40) we have:
45.2.1.110.1 US time interleaving (1.1907.10:7)
Register bits 1.1907.10 through 1.1907.7 indicate the integer number of time interleaved OFDM symbols in
the upstream direction. The number is either 8 or 16; where bit 1.1907.7 is the LSB and bit 1.1907.11 is the
MSB. All other values are reserved.
Note: the US time interleaving number is identical to the upstream Resource Block size.

Once upon a time this made sense as there were various interleaver sizes but now we have only two and we don't need 4 bits to specify.
Should we change this to one bit?
If we do should we reserve bits 9:7 to minimized SW changes between EPoC and DOCSIS?
